Trying this out

So here I am 5 months into a deployment and 6 months into being a mom for the 3rd time, and I am going to try and blog. I really hope I can find the time to keep this updated.

Like I said and most of you know, we are currently almost at the 5 month mark in this deployment. We still have a couple of months left but I am at the point in the deployment that I am OVER it. I just want my husband and father of my children home. I miss him and they miss their daddy. I can't wait for Geoff to get to know Brynn again, he left when she was 6 weeks old.

All the kids have changed so much. Blake and Abby are in preschool 5 mornings a week, which is a nice break for me. I get to workout every morning! They are loving it!
Brynn is now 6 months old and is trying to crawl, she gets up on her knees and rocks back in forth. It shouldn't be too much longer until she is moving all over the place. She is also eating solid foods now. In the morning she has cereal with fruit and in the evening she has cereal with veggies. Unlike her brother and sister, she is a great eater. She has loved everything that I have tried with her so far.
I have been working on losing all the baby weight that I gained with Brynn. I have been working out 6 days a week and a couple of times a week I have been running with the Battalion's running club, The Thundering tHERd.  It is nice to run with a great group of ladies that we all have something in common, running and our husband's are all deployed. I also have set my sights on another half marathon this winter.

Geoff seems to be doing well (as can be expected) in Afghanistan. He just really misses us and feels like he is missing out on so much of the kids lives. He really appreciates all the mail and support that he has received since being over there.

I will try and update this blog at least once a week with what is happening in our lives. I know it is hard to try and keep up with us sometimes. I hope that this blog will help keep our friends and family close to us, we miss you all!

  1. Glad you've started a blog! They are fun and very addicting...cool thing too is that I've found several sites that will turn your blog into a scrapbook...so I am going to attempt that for the first time at the end of this year :)

  2. Great job Michelle, my blog has been such a great outlet for me through deployment. I look forward to reading it for years when the Marine Corps separates friends as it likes to do!!
